We're still collecting donations

It’s well documented that domestic abuse has increased during the past year, as more women found themselves locked in with their abusers. From rules about staying home, the increase in home working, the lack of any social activities, all have contributed more than ever to an environment where there have been less opportunities for women to escape their abusers.
Because of this we decided to create Lockedown Locked In, it is a project more needed than ever to raise the plight of abused women. It is a series of eight short films, documenting the cycle of domestic abuse, and shows that it is a problem the same worldwide.
The project was devised and started by our Artistic Director, Baris Celiloglu, at the outset of the first lockdown in 2020. Using creatives from around the globe, she put together teams from nine different countries to create these short films that, when put together, document the stages of abuse many women face.
We’ve worked with teams from Australia, UK, Spain, Italy, Russia, Poland, Turkey, Greece and Cyprus to tell the stories of those experiencing domestic abuse. Even as we start seeing a way out of lockdown, many women are still suffering, usually in silence, as they remain unable to escape their abusers.
