LLANFWROG COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION CHARITABLE INCORPORATED ORGANISATION

The charity was established in 2005 and opened for business in 2006. It provides community and sporting facilities for the residents of Ruthin and the surrounding rural areas. It now boasts a community hall, cafe, 6 tennis courts, golf driving range, 9 hole Foot Golf course, 6 youth/ junior football pitches, path network for dog walkers/ walkers, crown bowling green, allotments. The charity oversees the management of the facilities through not for profit tenants. The last 5 years have been difficult with Covid, energy increases and interest rate rises. Importantly the charity has survived. Energy costs have been reduced significantly through energy saving measures and securing better energy contracts, interest rates are coming down.

The facilities are sustainable but we need to improve the turnover for the hall and cafe. Numbers have not returned as yet to the pre Covid days. We are now pursuing completion of approved works to the cafe, phase 2. This will make an attractive focal point to the facilities. To-date we have raised £19,200 to the total cost of £35,000. We need extra funding to complete.
