From my own experience it is difficult to describe the extraordinary people in Cuan Mhuire who work 24/7, 52 weeks a year for people suffering in addiction. I want to help raise funding so they continue their incredible work. To call it work is an understatement, it’s a family, a home where everyone is welcome for treatment.
Set up in 1966 by Sister Consilio, the 6 treatment centres for the rehabilitation treatment of persons suffering with addiction to alcohol, drugs and gambling, has saved over 75,000 lives.
Cuan Mhuire is a way of life. It’s is focused on the person suffering from addiction and it’s effects. Wholly inclusive, and embracing especially those who feel marginalised and unloved. The Cuan Mhuire Community seeks to help all to discover their giftedness and their infinite value. Cuan Mhuire provides a lived experience of Home, Family and belonging. We are always attentive to providing the highest standards of excellence for those for whom we provide care and support.
I will do the 10,000ft jump in October 2021. All funds raise go direct to Friends of Cuan Mhuire in Omagh.
If anyone would like to donate, any contribution will make an impact to the lives of many. We all know someone who has been affected by addiction. For anyone struggling please reach out for help.
