Living Word International supports Amazing Grace infant and primary school in south west Uganda. This provides high quality education to children selected from the poorest families, many of whom are orphans and accomodation to those without family homes.
Annual visits by Stuart Creed the UK director ensure careful use of funding, mostly on infrastructure such as converting existing wooden classrooms into concrete weatherproof structures.
The school has a maximum class size of 40 (usual is 80 in Uganda), has strict child protection policies and matrons who live at the school to support those accommodated there. It is currently the best performing school in its district and has an excellent sister secondary school for the ongoing education of its pupils.
