Start up Business - Little Green Fig

ABOUT US

Little Green Fig has the intention to be able to provide people with affordable sustainable alternative products. Promoting plastic free and zero waste life options.

I have secured deals working with small but intuitive UK based companies and distributors who cover all aspects of products to reduce our day to day environmental impact, where we can make a conscious effort to help the environment making swaps. They're also beautiful hand made products!

• Around 8 million tons of plastic water bottles end up in our ocean every year
• 40% of plastic usage comes from consumer packaging
• The United Kingdom comes second in worst polluters - wasting around 210g of plastic, per person, per day!  

This is a scary but harsh reality, but if each of us makes small day to day changes the impact is huge! We can all do our bit to make our environment a better place to be. We need individual action to change the flow of plastic consumption and waste - reduce, reuse and recycle, starting now.

Due to the post Covid and Brexit economical situation I cannot secure any financial help with start up loans, so sought to Crowdfunding as an opportunity to have support with funding and a great opportunity to meet like minded individuals. As well as ongoing business support and updates of progress with my endeavours.

OUR IDEAS & VISION

My vision is to be able to provide an online store, as well as a portable store to attend fayres and shows and also attend regular location for local refillable station. This will help people who are more secluded or need more support grocery shopping.

HOW WE WILL USE THE MONEY RAISED

The money raised will be used to:

- Buy stock!

- Plastic free sustainable packaging.

- A card machine and marketing material for shows.

- Improve my social media presence and boost advertising.

- Buy a trailer or horse box to use as our mobile shop refill centre and shop.
