Aim: To create a destination play park that is inclusive & accessible located in the heart of our community

⭐Our mission is to regenerate Linzee Gordon Playpark in Buckie, Moray⭐
To create a destination play space that offers a fun, safe and inclusive environment for families, whilst providing recreational opportunities that promote health and wellbeing. The park in its current state is not suitable for many age groups, nor does it offer accessibility to wheelchair users or people with additional support needs. The park is also prone to flooding in poor weather conditions. We aim to regenerate the site by improving the landscaping and fencing, installing picnic benches, and updating play equipment to attract children of all ages and abilities. Giving members of our local community a high-quality outdoor area is vital to help people in rural areas and deprived areas of our community.
Our aim is to also attract people out with our immediate community to visit this park to promote economic growth within our town.
Further on from our extensive community consultation a high demand for inclusive and accessible equipment is crucial and we are shocked to learn how little there is in the Buckie ASN for these children. This is the main play park in the Buckie ASG (8 primary schools, 1 high school & lots of nurseries) and none of our parks are inclusive or accessible!
We have reached the £80,800 in our fundraising efforts out of our £150,000 target! We have been working extremely hard to raise this funds through company donations & community fundraisers including coffee mornings, stalls are local events & activities. This has been raised in only 8 months!
