Aim: To install a composting toilet in our community garden

Our community garden welcomes many different users: garden members; local nurseries and schools for Forest School and nature based sessions, and volunteer gardeners. Green Sketching and craft workshops with local artists and summer music and poetry events attract people from further afield and a local Wellbeing Walking group now regularly stops by. 

New opportunities open up all the time. There will be a singing session in the garden later this month and we're taking part in E17 Open Gardens. We're also exploring setting up sessions aimed at improving wellbeing  through gardening and being outdoors.

But sometimes people can't stay as long as they'd like as we lack a toilet. We'd like them to be able to linger longer and enjoy our green space more. Therefore, we want to install a fully accessible composting toilet.

Hygiene and health and safety are obviously priorities so we're exploring professionally designed and built models and for this, we need your help because such systems are expensive.

We've been lucky enough to secure some funding from the Council and will be using our own funds too but we will still be caught short. We'd love it if you could donate! It'll be a great addition to the garden and a place to Linger Longer!
