We want to Light Up Rectory Park during Houghton Feast in 2021, just like in days gone by and secure the lights for the future generations!

It's been a tough old year and those darker nights in October are calling for some twinkling lights in Rectory Park this year - a Covid-safe event for our community to come together outdoors...
Houghton Feast is a firm fixture in the calendar for the whole community to enjoy and the grounds surrounding the Old Rectory used to be illuminated in celebration. We'd like to bring them back and add a few twists for people to find!
Please help us raise the money to do something nice this year - creating an opportunity for the whole family to safely explore the area and give the bairns a magical experience they'll remember for years to come.
The Old Rectory is now run by a charity, set up and run by people from the local area with plenty of opportunities for you to shape the future of the beautiful Grade 2* Listed building and Rectory Park which surrounds it. The Park was gifted to the people of Houghton in 1949 so we all want to make it place where people feel safe, can enjoy the out of doors and take part in activities.
If you remember Winnie the Witch and The Peacock from the 1980s (and earlier!) or you want your children to be involved in creating a light trail through the fairy glen, then support this project to Light up Rectory Park!
