FoodSavingExpert.co.uk was created to help the UK public who are seeing an increased rising cost in their food prices. Lets help people eat!

On the 31st January 2023 we'd raised £420 with 6 supporters in 42 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
My name is Musa - I am a digital specialist and have worked and continue to work with high end brands in the UK.
There is an increasing worry in the UK and around the world about the rising costs of food on consumers including myself and probably you too if you are reading this, where I have seen firsthand the rising costs of not only supermarket items but also takeaways and restaurants. No one in the UK should feel like they cannot feed themselves or their families. Hence I decided to create FoodSavingExpert.co.uk which I built myself - This website is built as both an offer aggregator so everyday the web is scoured to find the best possible savings users can make in both supermarkets, restaurants, takeways and other food outlets.
The second part of the website is creating recipe posts on how people can make amazing meals on a budget and around food saving tips that consumers can make use of in the UK to lower their shopping bills and even how to prepare meals in a more cost effective way. Along with this we have a food freebies area that is updated daily where users can obtain free food and drinks from many different brands across the UK giving more cost savings.
I am also in the process of creating an app and browser extension.
My vision for the website is to make it a household name for food savings, helping the people of the UK save money on all of their food expensive, whether that is a weekly shop or a takeaway.
The money raised would be for scaling the business in 4 key areas.
1) Add more of a team and full time staff (Its tough running this almost alone) to research and publish more offers, articles and tips, freebies and recipes, which take a huge amount of resource to both find cost saving recipes and make videos so users can replicate the recipes, we would also open a commercial kitchen where we can post daily live videos of food saving recipes and items you can buy to eat well without paying an arm and a leg. Finally the extra team would allow us to create food banks nationwide to help the vulnerable.
2) Use some of the funds to add additional functions to the website and maintain them such as the apps. Also in the future to open up into other countries as we also own .com for global reach and to assist users worldwide with their food costs.
3) Marketing - We need to get the word out quickly to help the vulnerable, this would be through a combination of Google and Facebook and other social media ads along with organic reach and influencers and press.
4) We run and will run more free giveaways of food vouchers to help users - The investment will help us scale these offerings giving free food vouchers to the UK public. We have already successfully given free food vouchers with our giveaways and will continue helping out users in this way.
This project offered rewards
