Leodis FC was founded in July 2023 after a lot of discussions between friends about getting back into football. We wanted it to be as cheap and accessible for people that had not played football for a long term. The cost of living crisis has made us all count our pennies so if we can provide a space for people to enjoy the sport they love for a low cost then we can remove a lot of stress from people's lives.
The second part of our story is a lot of individual stories that share a commonality of struggling with mental health. Several of our players have struggled with their mental health in recent years. We want to help raise awareness within the local area around mental health.
Leeds Mind was a natural partner for our club. It's a partnership that will both our causes, and with this in mind any money fundraised with be split 50/50 between the club and Leeds Mind.
Leodis FC will be proud to wear Leeds Mind's name on our kits throughout the season.
