Our coding club in Gateshead, England
Hi folks! We're Coderdojo Gateshead and we've been running for over 8 years out of Gateshead Central Library as a free, volunteer-run coding club for the local kids in the North East of England. As a free club we do not receive any funding and must raise it ourselves.
What we do
We love teaching, inspiring and working with the local kids to develop coding skills, show them how to build games and not just play them! It takes a lot of time and effort to keep on top of the latest trends in industry and also we rely on the kindness of businesses and parents to keep our club fresh with new resources and equipment.

How we will spend the funds you give us
We're looking to purchase 2 of the LEGO Spike Education sets to teach the coding ninjas more about hardware itself, programming hardware and develop their skills in procedural problem solving (avoiding obstacles and thinking more ahead). There is a lot to learn about motors, processors and how to build circuits.

Where will it be stored?
The equipment will remain in the library and be used by the kids at our saturday morning clubs.
The club actually sounds awesome and we want to know when it runs!
We run every 2nd saturday of the month from 10:30 to 12:30pm - use Eventbrite to sign up.
Thanks for taking the time to support us!
