Empower young minds in STEM! We’re crowdfunding to provide food, hire devices, and expand outreach for our STEM & Robotics Bootcamp.

by Elizabeth Meshioye in Manchester, England, United Kingdom

Children from underserved communities often face significant barriers in STEM education, with reports showing lower attainment levels in STEM subjects due to limited access to resources, low representation, and mentorship. Students from minority backgrounds are particularly underrepresented in engineering and technology fields, which affects future career prospects and diversity in STEM. .

We are tackling this issue head-on through our LEGO Robotics and Engineering Future Pathway Bootcamp. This hands-on, three-day programme introduces young learners—particularly girls—to robotics, coding, and problem-solving, helping them develop confidence, creativity, and technical skills. By providing access to LEGO robotics, digital tools, and mentorship from STEM professionals, we are creating an environment where students see themselves as future engineers, innovators, and leaders.

Through this bootcamp, we are not just teaching STEM—we are building a foundation for the next generation of changemakers, ensuring that talent, not background, defines a child’s future in STEM
