The Leeds Lutheran Church House is a Grade II listed building set in beautiful mature grounds. The Trust House is the community setting for the Lutheran congregation in the North of England.
The Church House is owned by St Lukes and St Matthews Lutheran Church, also the Deutsche Evangelische Kirche Yorkshire and the German Protestant Church Yorkshire. The House also serves as a focal point for Finnish, Estonian, Latvian and other Lutherans in the North of England.
We desperately need donations towards the cost of repairing the church roof - it's a bit of a cliche, but its a necessity. The roof now leaks badly during heavy rainfall and a recent drone survey has identified an area with two holes and this is causing internal damage to the top floor due to water ingress.
The urgent roof repair is needed due to wear and tear and the age of this beautiful, listed building and will ensure that the Church House continues to be usable for the future and will benefit not only the Lutheran Congregation at St Lukes and St Matthews, but also the other community groups who use it for various church related meetings.
The Finnish School (Leeds) use the Church House every Saturday.
The House also provides affordable accommodation for students and clergy and temporary housing for members of the congregation and others who are in temporary need or are struggling.
With sufficient funds, we will be able to repair the roof of this beautiful heritage house and secure its future use in the community for many generations to come.
