I lost my Finlay last year. He was 15 and the best border collie ever. He was full of love and loved human company. Towards the end he was struggling to walk and was tired. I used my skills as a human physio to try and help him as there was still light in his eyes but he started to suffer and I had to let him go. I started a social media platform with my puppy Harley my beautiful Weimaraner to help fund my dreams of helping animals. Harley was the most beautiful natured boy and loved to learn. Sadly Harley at just 2 had a rare autoimmune illness and I had to let him go. I’m heartbroken but I can’t let his beautiful soul and memory go to waste. I will still train in Dog behaviour, small animal physio and volunteers those skills in rescue centres. Set up a rescue centre as well as a business to help animals. I also have a project to turn Harkey into a cartoon character so I can show him in children’s books and keep his memory alive.
From a young age I was always rescuing animals off the street and taking them home. I was looked after as a baby my by nans old English sheepdog. She couldn’t see a thing but she followed me everywhere. Even when I went to the toilet just to make sure I was safe and because she was my bestie I would follow her into the garden as a stumbling 2 year old and sit with her in her kennel. That’s where my journey started. I couldn’t pass a baby pigeon struggling in the street from a young age. I brought everything home. To give love and happiness to animals like they have me would be a joy and I believe this is my purpose. I’ll continue to share my journey on my little Harley’s TikTok page @Harleythedog1
