Project to Raise Funds to Purchase Hire Bikes for the club which will be used by new starters to learn the basics of BMX Racing
by Paul Giles in Hartlepool, United Kingdom
Any additional money raised will go towards track maintenance to keep our track in tip top condition so it can continue to be enjoyed by all who use it.
The North East BMX Club is made up of dedicated bike riders, of all ages, who train weekly at the local track at Summerhill in Hartlepool. They hone their bicycle riding skills in order to race in local, national and world championship races.
The BMX club is run by a group of dedicated volunteers who offer their time to raise funds, maintain the track and coach the next generation of BMX champions.
As the club receives limited funds from councils and cycling governing bodies we are looking for donations to improve our facilities which will benefit our existing members and attract new ones into the sport.
We will use any donations to fund the purchase new bikes which will be used to introduce new riders into the sport. We are hoping to purchase 3 new bikes in sizes Mini, Junior and Expert for riders aged 5 up to 12 years of age.
BMX is a healthy, family friendly, community-oriented activity which improves the skills and confidence of all those who participate
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
