Hello,

My name is Lauren, I am 12 years old from Walsall in the West Midlands.

Along with my brother Josh (who I share an Instagram account with) I am part of the GBR National Team in Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) and have competed at National, European and World OCR Championships over the past few years. Training alongside my team at The Obstacle Gym in Tamworth.

In October 2023, the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) made the decision to include Modern Pentathlon in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games with its new discipline (OCR). By replacing riding with the more accessible discipline of OCR, Modern Pentathlon can be practiced in more countries by more people, increasing the number of competitions, athletes and spectators. The development of the new discipline is an opportunity for growth worldwide.

With the link between Modern Pentathlon and OCR being created, I began to train in penta disciplines including LaserRun, Biathle (swim/run) and Triathle (swim/shoot/run) and even tried fencing! I became a member of my local affiliated Pentathlon GB club "Target Sport Burntwood" (TSB) and this is where I started my shooting journey.

My coaches at TSB introduced me to Air Rifle and then Target Sprint, I realised very quickly that I really enjoyed shooting and picked it up very quickly. I am truly passionate about Shooting, which I train in as often as I can. I am currently a probationary member of Rugeley Rifle Club (RRC) focusing on Air Rifle. At RRC I have had the opportunity to also try different elements of shooting including Air Pistol, .22 benchrest rifle and .22 supported prone rifle. But my preference is Air Rifle!

My goal is to become one of the best athletes in my sport. To be accepted onto the British Shooting talent pathway and hopefully represent my country at Olympic level. To turn this dream into a reality I really need your help. To excel, I need to be constantly push my limits. I am ready to work hard, but at the same time, I know that the road to success will be costly. By supporting me today, you are investing into something bigger than just a fundraiser. 2025 Target Sprint Competition fees, Uniform and Travel costs £100 +

Full membership of Rugeley Rifle Club (RRC) £100 pa
