Last August, while I was deep in training for another half marathon, I broke my toe. I do not recommend this! Feeling extremely sorry for myself, I wasn't able to run for two months and missed my weekly outings with LRG. Once I was ready to come back, the running group was perfect for easing back into things - there is always an option for runners who can't do the whole 5k, for whatever reason. That's why I'm supporting Let's Run Girls - they really understand that it doesn't matter where you are in your running journey, you can always improve and enjoy what you are doing, particularly a sedate 3k on a newly healed toe!
LRG provide all of this support for free - it's a fully volunteer led organisation and money raised will help with the training of new run leaders.
