Welcome to the crowdfunding campaign for Luná Movements C.I.C
Luná Movements C.I.C aims to create a positive impact on the lives of individuals in Derby. Through movement (Dance, Yoga and Pilates) and personal development workshops we aim to promote mental and physical wellbeing, nurture local talent, building and encourage a sense of unity and belonging.
About Luná Movements C.I.C:
Luná Movements C.I.C was founded in January 2025 in the loss of its beloved Dance Community - Déda.
The primary focus is to re-establish a centralised timetable of dance + wellbeing classes. But the vision of Luná Movements is much larger.
Collaborating with the Derbyshire community, Luná Movements will become a creative hub which welcomes and nurtures all individuals wherever they are at on their journey. We will achieve this through offering:
- A programme of classes which encourages strength, flexibility and balance.
- A diverse range of workshops so that individuals can deepen their skills and awareness to make more empowered and healthier choices.
- Support for freelancers so that they focus on their creativity.
- Exploring opportunities for freelancers to be seen for their talents.
- A space which encourages all individuals to face life's challenges (career, relationships, work-life balance....)
- A community for individuals to connect, fostering a sense of unity and belonging.
Using dance as a powerful tool to raise awareness of challenges within society. Our work extends beyond the class timetable, as we collaborate with local organisations to offer dance outreach programs and mentoring opportunities for freelancers.

By contributing to our crowdfunding campaign, you are directly enabling Luná Movements to form and strengthen its foundations. Your support will help cover venue expenses, freelancer fees, and the initial set up fees such as building a website platform including the bookings tool.
Luná Movements would like to be an inclusive space for all encouraging all individuals to work through their life's challenges. And thus, continued funding would ensure that we can offer subsidised / free classes to access these services.
Although Luná Movements C.I.C is primarily focussed on adults, the long term plan is to re-connect the children's dance programme. This will be developed once the adult programme has been established.
