Launch Strange Mag

Aim: To fund Strange Mag, a radical publication amplifying the voices of the chronically ill, mad, and disabled five years into a pandemic.
The pandemic isn't over for us.
For the past five years, the chronically ill, disabled, and mad have been discarded, disbelieved, and gaslit. Long COVID remains an epidemic. Disabled people are being forced off benefits. The world expects us to disappear quietly.
We refuse.
Strange Mag is a space for the voices they want erased.
A radical labour of love and passion by Zawadi Elle, in partnership with Clean Air LDN, this magazine will pay disabled, mad, and chronically ill creatives to document our grief, our rage, our resistance, and our joy. It will offer a tangible space for mutual aid and connection in an era of extreme isolation.
We are starting with Volume 1: Long COVID, Chronic & Terminal Illness. If funded, two more volumes will follow:
- Madness & Disability in the Pandemic
- Isolation/Connection
