Our Warm Hub is all about providing a space for people to come together this winter, where they can enjoy a warm welcome.

Who are we?

Lamerton Area Warm Hub has been set up by the South Tamar Mission Community, the group of six churches serving the people around Lamerton, Milton Abbot, Chillaton and beyond.  We are made up of people from across the villages in this rural area near Tavistock.  Our Warm Hub is in partnership with the Lamerton Sports & Community Centre who run the hall where we meet.

Community impact

We serve the people living in our area throughout the year in many different ways, but as we see more and more people coming up against the harsh realities of energy cost increases and the rising cost of living, we want to offer people a welcoming space where they can come and be warm without worrying about the heating bill.  The Warm Hub will be a great social space, offering people a chance to be with other people.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We're crowdfunding to raise the money to support people as well as we possibly can through our Warm Hub.  Our hope is to make life just a little more bright and more bearable for people in our area, and so we want to be able to offer a range of resources that support people during this cost of living crisis.

How we’ll spend the money raised

Our hope is to offer people who come to the Warm Hub and ask for help with a Warm Pack.  This will be a collection of items that will help families or individuals through these tough times, such as blankets, warm winter clothing, an energy efficient kettle, flasks and insulated cups, as well as food that can be prepared in a low energy way.
