Lifeguards Swim Thames Distance in Ladies Pond

Lifeguards Swim Thames Distance in Ladies Pond

£0

£5,000 target

Started on 29th June 2024 London N6, UK

As fellow lifeguards, we understand the pressures and challenges that come with safeguarding lives in the water. The RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) is a charity dedicated to saving lives at sea, providing a 24/7 search and rescue service around the coasts of the UK and Ireland, as well as flood rescue and water safety education. Fundraising is crucial for the RNLI, as it relies entirely on public donations to maintain and equip their lifeboat stations, train volunteers, and develop essential safety programs. Supporting the RNLI through fundraising ensures they can continue their life-saving work and advance their mission of making water environments safer for everyone.

As a team of lifeguards, we've challenged ourselves to swim the length of the River Thames (346km) in the Ladies Pond by October 31, 2024, to raise funds for the RNLI, recognizing the crucial importance of saving lives in the water.

Anything you can contribute towards helping us achieve our target will be massively appreciated.

Thank you.
