I’m Mike Reader. I’m working hard to be the next Labour MP for Northampton South.  

I need your help to return a Labour victory in Northampton in the next election. The path to Westminster does truly run through my town. 

I work in construction as Work Winning Director at Mace.  I know what it takes to win the unwinnable, to bring people together, to form high performing teams and to deliver results. 

From launching a programme in the East Midlands that’s gone on to deliver £44M of social value across the UK, to stepping up to play my part delivering NHS Nightingale, I’ve never shied away from a challenge, and will always stand up for what’s right, not what’s easy.

My work in construction has taught me that we can always overcome the most difficult problems if we’re ambitious enough to embrace fresh thinking. I want to bring my real life experiences and competencies into politics, to make change for the better.

I will champion our entrepreneurial community

I’ll use my experience of developing social value and fair procurement frameworks across the construction industry to Grow The Northampton Pound and support our local businesses.

I will always be committed to delivering social justice and a fairer society

I’ll fight to bring new investment in our schools, care homes, Northampton General and Council services, reversing the Conservative cuts and redressing inequality in our town.

Every donation, large or small, will help elect me as MP for Northampton South, sending back to Westminster a dedicated, hard-working constituency MP who will be a strong voice for Northampton and the built environment, procurement and work winning sectors.

Northampton South Constituency Labour Party or my campaign team may contact you using the information you supply in order to discharge their legal responsibilities to ensure donations are from permissible sources. Donations to meet the costs of candidate election expenses are regulated by the Representation of the People Act 1983. By making a donation to this campaign I understand and accept the following:

Donations to a political party are regulated by the Political Parties Elections and Referendums Act 2000. By making a donation to this campaign, you are accepting the following terms and conditions:

• I am donating to the parliamentary campaign in Northampton South, which is overseen by the Northampton South Constituency Labour Party.
• If I donate more than £500, checks will be made to ensure my name is listed on the UK electoral register (excluding the Channel Islands and Isle of Man).
• If I donate more than £1,500 to a Constituency Labour Party or more than £7,500 to the national Labour Party in a calendar year, my name and the amount of the donation will be published on the Electoral Commission's website, although my home address will not be made public. If you donate less than this, your name will remain private. 
• I must use my own funds to make a donation to the Labour Party.

Donations are not tax-deductible. This donation facility is provided for individuals to make donations to the general election campaign fund through the Northampton South Constituency Labour Party.
