Why are we crowdfunding?
A lot of you might not know, but as of the end of September the group will be charged £4,000 a year for the food we get from Fareshare, which we currently use for food packs. It is going to be a struggle to find the money required to maintain access to the resources from Fareshare, as well as covering the overheads incurred to continue the food pack service.
But we can't let anyone go hungry, without access to support, and without assistance.
Below, our diagram gives an overview of a 15 week period of the project, demonstrating the substantial work carried out across the community area covered. And although it looks extensive, there are additional areas of support and assistance we have been providing that are not listed below, including things like:
- small home repairs
- welfare checks
- befriending services
- support to homeless
- support with mental health
We need your help.
Many people in our community rely heavily on the support we offer, and we desperately want to continue our services, to help as many people as we can.
But the combination of an increase in costs and a decrease in funding makes it more difficult to do this - so we're asking for your help.
Every penny really does make a difference. Please donate whatever you can.
And even if it's not a financial contribution, you can still support us by sharing this crowdfunder with your friends and helping to spread the word.
Thank you so much for your help, and if you'd like to find out more information about what we do, you can visit our Facebook page by clicking this link.
