At Westfield, we believe positive relationships, working with our parents and links with our community are key to the success of our school. We are ambitious for our children, and we strive to develop a positive mind set where all children believe that anything is possible. Staff work creatively to deliver a meaningful curriculum, nurture all of our children and inspire a love of learning through their dedication and kindness.
Our project aims to provide free fruit to all of our KS2 children (Y3-Y6) every break time. Our KS1 children are provided with free fruit through the Government scheme, but there is currently nothing available for our KS2 children. They are encouraged to bring a piece of fruit every day if they can, but with almost 300 children in KS2, there are always some children who do not have fruit.
We would like to raise funds to offer a fruit station for our children in KS2 to access a healthy snack at break time and to help to combat their hunger until lunchtime.
