Knife Crime Matters is committed to heightening awareness about knife crime by exploring its underlying causes, potential risks, and consequences. Our primary focus lies in educating young individuals about the serious implications of carrying knives. Ultimately, our mission is to address the root causes and repercussions of knife crime, contributing to the reduction of such incidents and related forms of violence.
We partner with socially responsible organisations like Wythenshawe Black Belt Academy in order to deliver our comprehensive range of educational resources to 11-to18 year olds.
With your support we will be able to deliver all of our resources to every secondary school in South Manchester along with highlighting the consequences of knife crime by a dedicated mural within the heart of Wythenshawe and other areas.
Our aim is to eradicate knife crime through education and prevention and our educational courses are designed to do just that. They can be delivered within schools and non-academic venues at a pace to suit the needs of the young people.
We are also in the final stages of developing an interactive gamified app which will enhance our ability to engage with 11-to-18 year olds and help prevent them from becoming involved with gang or knife crime.
Your support will fund our campaign in south Manchester and help make it a safer place for both children and the community as a whole.
