Mental Health in Combat Sports CIC is a  new community interest company.

our aim is to introduce people suffering from mental health issues in to combat sport, physical activity has been proved to help with this.

The plan-

Collaborate with local to you mental health groups, once we have made contact with you through this we will find local combat sports clubs that you can join, 6 months or a years sessions & membership will be funded as well as any necessary kit. we can also help you with any professional mental help support you need.

Existing combat sport member??

We can also help you, if you are suffering with mental health concerns and you are already currently training, we can support you with professional mental health sessions.

This is aimed at anybody within the combat sport community-

  • students
  •  Coaches,
  •  instructors
  •  staff
  •  family

To make this work we need your support.

Below is some feedback from a recent project we did with the

'YMCA brunel group'

'Leon Tozer visited the local YMCA Brunel youth groups during 2024;

 Initially running 4 taster sessions during our “Warm Spaces” events run in partnership with SASP, and then a further 3 sessions at our youth clubs in Street  & Glastonbury.

 Our experience of working with Leon has been very positive throughout: Leon was reliable in his communication, very supportive when working in partnership with us, and we have been extremely impressed with his professional approach throughout.

The sessions delivered were very well received. Leon is naturally very good at engaging young people, and was able to adapt his sessions depending on the needs of the group. The exercises he ran were suitable for the age group, the sessions progressed each week, and he adapted it well for mixed abilities. Feedback from our young people was very positive; saying that they really enjoyed the sessions, they would be interested in doing more kickboxing at youth club,. We hope to work with Leon again during this academic year, and would recommend him to others.'
