This is more than a football tournament; this is personal.
Whilst the goal is to wage war on the field, behind this is the fight against Sarcoma Cancer. A goal that is driven by personal experience and love for the people in our life and around us who have fought that battle themselves in strength, courage and resilience.
In our community, Sarcoma Cancer isn't just a word. It's a reminder of someone close who has faced this fight and though by the grace of God, they succeeded in that journey, we are left with the reminder that we must make a difference. Not just for them but every individual and family affected by this rare and aggressive disease.
So, what do we do? We have decided to host an 11-a-side and 7-a-side Football Tournament. Not just to raise money but to rally a community around a cause that matters. Every kick, every shout, every donation is a step closer to awareness, better treatments, and hope for those fighting Sarcoma. We want to show that even in the face of something as daunting as cancer, we can stand together, fight back and support those who are fighting or who have been through it.
