The Cause
Oday Khaled is a 34-year-old man from Gaza, who has been displaced, along with his family, to a tent in Deir Al-Balah (Central Gaza). Oday and his wife are parents to three gorgeous little girls: Layan (5), Lolo (4) and Watin (7 months).
Before the recent attacks on Gaza, Oday worked as a blacksmith and was married to his wife for 9 years before the birth of their first child - a little miracle - Layan.
Now, as industries in Gaza have been forced to halt, Uday has no means to provide for his young family.
Like many displaced Palestinians in Gaza, the Khaled family, along with other relatives, are currently living in tents. These tents are not warm enough during the winter months and the sandy floors cause respiratory issues and skin rash. The family's tent has flooded several times during frequent heavy rainfall.
Due to the scarcity of resources, blockaded borders and inflated economy, Oday struggles to find little more than flour to feed his family.
Recently, Oday's phone - his connection with the outside world - was stolen at a local market and he now must share one device with his wife.
This family desperately needs donations in order to acquire food, baby formula and nappies among other necessities.
