In 2016, the creators of the underground comedy hit Kev's Komedy Kitchen took a production to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival funded solely by themselves. Staging a production at the fringe can cost thousands. Venue hire alone is at least £2000, add advertising, PR, transport, props, accommodation, living expenses and all of a sudden we find ourselves approaching at least £8000!
After such a successful show in 2016 with one reviewer describing the show as -
'A masterpiece of performance and comedy' Notts Comedy Review
and audience feedback such as -
'This was one of the best shows I saw at the fringe this year. Better than shows by some of the more house hold names that cost significantly more.
I don't understand why this show isn't on at a prime time in a bigger venue. Well done Kevin Dewsbury for providing some of the biggest laughs I had at the festival' Asif Simjee
With your help we can continue to bring joy, happiness and massive laughs to audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe and beyond with our new show for 2017 'Kev's Komedy Kitchen - The Second Cumin'
Any contribution no matter how small will be greatly appreciated, we thank you!
