In 2012 the Bells at St Mary's Church, Kempsey, Worcestershire,UK were augmented from its ring of six bell to eight bells, a plan that had been worked on since the 1930's. After some very generous donations from the community, the Queens Jubilee Fund, and previous bell ringers at Kempsey, the vision that started came to life with an additional two bells installed into the tower.
Since then the Bell Tower has hosted many visitors from around the UK who have rung the bells, the local band has rung there regularly for Sunday Services, Weddings, Funerals, Practice Nights and for celebrations including the coronation of King Charles III.
After a routine maintenance inspection, it was discovered that there are some part of the bells frames, and parts that make the bells ring were in need of some major and minor maintenance that needed to be carried out by professionals.
We are looking for support on raising this money, to help us keep the bells ringing now and for many years ahead.
