We're still collecting donations
On the 19th June 2020 we'd raised £1,695 with 50 supporters in 14 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Like many other small businesses I had to close my doors to stop the spread of covid-19, I now need help to be able to reopen them.

Hi my name is Lynsey and I own Continuous Movement Sports Massage Therapy based in Darlington. I open my treatment room on July 10th 2017 with no money, just a room and a table!! I have worked very hard to build up a successful business and I’ve had the chance to meet some truly fantastic people. I don't class My job as work as I love what I do so much, I get to see so many people achieve amazing things.
March 2020 I, like so many other small businesses had to close my treatment room to help stop the spread of covid-19. As I rent my room inside another property I’m not entitled to any grants, I don’t qualify for the Business Interruption Loan Scheme and my bank is not offering the Bounce Back loans for small businesses, and other lenders are not taking new customer. So that’s it no help for the small sole traders, and I have nothing left, all my savings have gone to keeping a roof over mine and the children’s head and food on the table.
I refuse to give up on a business that I’ve worked so hard for, but I need help. I still have rent to pay, I need to be able to make the room safe when it’s time to reopen, extra PPE and other equipment need purchasing and I’ll only be able to see a limited number of clients once reopened.
Id love to not only survive but thrive at the other side of this pandemic. I want to achieve my goal of opening a retail space and coffee shop/meeting space for my clients to enjoy and be able to open another treatment room to help someone else starting out in this business.
I fully understand that other people will be financially unstable too, but if you can spare anything and would like to support me and my business, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and appreciate it more than any words could express.
Thank you for reading
Lynsey
