I started Keep Youth Work Alive in 2017/18 after realising there was no local youth facilities in our local area. Since forming Keep Youth Work Alive there is a great deal of demand for our service and approach as we have helped so many young people stay off the streets and out of trouble.
We welcome them in and get to know what the individual likes and wants out of life. Once we know how we can help and support them we then devise a plan and put it into action. We encourage building self-confidence and self -esteem and encourage education and provide support where they feel they need support.
We are approached by young people who are being affected by bullying to where we coach life skills to address anti-bullying techniques. The approach we use has had a positive impact with the young people who engage with us and has positive results.
We are working to raise funds to help us gain premises to open a Youth Centre so we can offer our services to more young people. We are working with partners to help in the coming year 2023 so we are able to offer days out, residential stays and supporting our local community.
We are working behind the scenes to hopefully get support form any local businesses who may wish to sponsor / donate to Keep Youth Work Alive and any donations the community may be able to help us with. Any amount would help support our project large or small it all helps support our young people who are our future.
