About Headway Suffolk
Headway Suffolk is a registered charity that supports adults living with brain injury and neurological conditions with a range of rehabilitation, therapy and care services.
These lifeline services empower each client to reach their full potential and maximise their independence through stimulating and engaging activities at our hubs in Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds, as well as in people’s homes and the local community.
About Warm Hub Spaces
To enable us to reach more people who need our support but cannot attend our 2 main hubs, we recently launched our Keep Warm This Winter campaign and began our mission to open new Satellite Hubs in towns across Suffolk.
These Warm Hub Spaces enable us to expand our services and help more people who are isolated and need our support and have a safe, warm and stimulating place to go during winter and beyond.
In October, we successfully launched a Warm Hub Space in Hadleigh once a week on Fridays and have plans to open more, but we need funding support to make this happen.
We have identified a need for Warm Hub Spaces in Newmarket, Sudbury and Haverhill to help the community in those towns who are isolated and cannot reach our Ipswich or Bury hubs due to a lack of suitable public transport and high taxi travel costs.
To enable us to meet the cost of skilled staffing, suitable premises and resources, we are appealing for support through with our Keep Warm This Winter project through this Crowdfunding appeal.
