I As a thank you to those who have contributed, we will be holding a summer party and barbecue in the garden, as soon as it is safe to do so

"To keep providing the food & drink my loyal customers love during the Covid19 pandemic by switching to take away safely and without contact."

Second box:
"I have been working in the pub and hospitality industry for nearly 20 years and I have been the licensee and manager of the Marsh Harrier for just over three years. Under my management it has become a real community hub with lots of regulars for Sunday lunch, regular quizzes and the now famous beer and carols at Christmas. It is also a place where a number of people who live alone know they will always get a warm welcome. I am so grateful to all my customers who support me by eating and drinking regularly in my pub, so I am operating on a takeaway basis during the pandemic to keep providing them with freshly-prepared hot food & drinks. It will cost me money to do this as health and cleanliness procedures have got much stricter and I will need different products to serve food and drink for takeaway. I employ several local people both at the bar and in the kitchen and I want to be able to pay them their full wages (rather than 80% that the government is offering) so they don’t get into financial problems. Although my brewery is offering some rent relief, I still have the costs of maintaining the building and the utilities to cover. My pub also depends heavily on its large and beautiful garden as we move into the warmer months and if using it is not possible this year the business will struggle to survive without crowd funding. That would be a real shame for the community, my wonderful customers and my loyal staff."
