We're still collecting donations
On the 12th March 2022 we'd raised £15,081 with 186 supporters in 69 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We're trying to keep The Elm Park Tavern independent, community-focused & alive into 2022

As always we would continue to invest in the space of the pub, creating a live music space in the back room which is wholly underserved by the current format and furnishings.
For as long as we can remember we have had a dream to start our own journey into the world of hospitality. In 2020, perhaps naively, we took over The Elm Park Tavern. A lovely looking local boozer that just needed some love and ambition. At the time nobody knew that Covid would wreak such havoc for such a prolonged period of time. Sadly, here we are two years later suffering through a giant surge in cases which has once again effectively closed our business in what should be the busiest part of the year for us.
When we have been open we've made great friends with our regulars, all of whom we know on first name terms, we know their drinks, their kids and perhaps most importantly; their dogs. When we set out to reopen The Elm we did so with one vision; to be the heart of the neighbourhood. Every drink we make, every plate of food we serve, the playlists we curate and the events we put on are all there to bring together the locals that make this corner of London so special.
This December, with the emergence of the new variant, we were forced to close our doors as guests and staff alike were forced to isolate. Sadly this happened at what was already a really critical time for our business. We missed the first few months of the year to lockdown 3.0, and while we used the time we were closed to invest in some much needed improvements to the venue, we were caught off guard with the recent effects of the Omicron variant. Government support, though welcome, has not been enough to keep us going.
Obviously January isn't a time when anyone is particularly cash rich, but we really want to be able to keep this pub going and realise its potential as a genuine institution of London boozers. If you can donate there will be some really cool rewards in the post and once we are back and fully operational we'll be throwing the mother of all welcome back parties to get everyone back together!
We can't thank you all enough for your support since we opened last year, this really is a special community and a special place.
