We're still collecting donations
On the 1st May 2024 we'd raised £287 with 13 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We want to continue trading from a local pitch at Penge West Station.

On the 1st May 2024 we'd raised £287 with 13 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We started the Coffee Trail in 2019 with the means to serve the local community who use the train station and tourists who visit local attractions like Crystal Palace Park and the Penge High Street.
I have lived in Penge and Sydenham for a combined 38 years and when I used to use the station it wasn't long before I had a few minutes to spare and realise there was absolutely no where to grab a quick coffee. I set up the coffee trail with my partner Zakia.
7 months after setting up shop (late 2019) a global pandemic hit and fortunately at the time we was still allowed to trade being an outdoor vendor (with social restrictions and guidelines in place naturally. We survived that!
We carried on trading using a neighbours supply who have just recently moved so in turn we lost our electricity.
We was told to use a generetor by TFL. We bought a generator which we could afford but it is noisy and smelly. It was not ideal for our customers and the neighbours around the station. Unfortunately we had to close shop to not upset the neighbours
TFL have said they can supply an electricity supply for a cost including designing and planning and it will take 3 to 4 months to complete. We also have 2 lovely ladies that work for us and do not wish to lose them. In the meantime we are forced to be closed untill the works are done.
What we aim is to ask our local community for donations to cover the bill for the electricity and we still need to pay the pitch rent while we are closed, in turn you will get 1 free coffee a week for 1 year.
We do not want to give up and lose 5 years of hard work. It has been a roller coaster of ups and downs but our customers have kept us going and I hope you will support us and keep us going for many years to come, and we hope to provide you with an excellent coffee and service every morning.
Thanks for your time and we hope to continue trading and see you guys soon.
Love James and Zakia
