There is an enormous body of research available showing that time spent in nature can improve children’s mental health and wellbeing. Our focus is to provide every child with a wonderful outdoor learning environment that inspires a curiosity to learn from nature.
Our vision is to provide the children with the resources to create and maintain an organic vegetable plot. A yearly cycle of crops will provide healthy snacks for the children at breakfast and afterschool club. We will use the fruit and vegetables grown onsite to embed cooking and healthy eating within our curriculum.
We also plan to have a wild meadow and a sensory garden to encourage wildlife into our school grounds.
