I know what it takes to make change happen. In 2015, I led Fair Funding for our Kids - a nationwide campaign that got childcare on to the national agenda, building a movement of mums that demanded action from Government. Our campaign secured more funded childcare from Government - a step towards equality, but not nearly enough. 

My role now as National Manager of the Scottish Fabians has put me at the leading edge of research and policy development. At Holyrood, as an MSP, I want to combine my practical knowledge of building movements to make change happen with my understanding of the SNP’s failings to apply scrutiny and make sure they are held accountable.

I believe that policy is best made by those with lived experience and the job of a politician is to listen and advocate on their behalf, and I will always put that at the heart of what I do.  The Labour Party has transformed lives and life chances and we must do so again.  A committed campaigner, I will stand up for local people and our communities on the issues that are important to them
