Uniting Voices for Palestine and Kashmir at the United Nations
We are living in a historic period. Around the world, we have witnessed Israel commit genocide in Gaza, where already over 30,000 people have been killed, approximately half of them children. Despite the horrific violence, Western power continue to provide financial, military and diplomatic support to continue the massacre.
The people of Kashmir, know what this feels like. For decades, Kashmiris have suffered from oppression, where the rights and dignities of ordinary people have been ignored and silenced. The lands of both Palestine and Kashmir have been divided and ruled by the same colonial powers, who have oppressed Palestinian and Kashmiri people for centuries.
We have a duty now to take action, and say that we have had enough. We cannot remain silent as a genocide is taking place. We must unite as a community, to use our voices to protect all those who are oppressed.
We must do everything in our power to end the genocide, to stand up against oppression, to liberate ourselves from colonial violence and to make our voices heard on the international stage, at the United Nations and beyond.
