Just Like You

Hello I hope you are doing well my name is jake and I'm an undergraduate student who just completed my degree in film I'm looking to have a fundraiser to help fund my first feature film titled just like you the story is centred around a punk who struggles to fit into a modern society that looks down on her and beats her down based on how she looks and her passion for alternative music one day hoping to get big within the industry with her band but she gets beaten up by a group of girls due to her dark makeup and not fitting the social mould intended for her along with being disowned by her siblings due to pursuing her dream instead of having a real job and bringing in money. 

the money that will be raised from here can help cover the equipment crew and actor costs along with distribution for the film once completed I did write and make this film while studying in uni but I want to raise funds so I can work with professional creators and achieve the look and tone my film had initially when written this is a massive project for me personally and with a dedicated team of individuals who are passionate for film like I am anything can be achievable 

 I wanna make this film because I want people to feel confident with who they are and not hide who they are even when society looks down on them i have severe mental health both anxiety and depression i have lived with self confidence issues my entire life not feeling like i can be myself without society judging me this is emulated through the characters in my production so i want to use the story being told in my film to be a reflection and image of modern society and show people that even though someone dresses in all black has dark makeup on and listens to progressive music doesnt make them an outcast but instead makes them human just like everyone else 

There is a copy of my student film for this production to showcase the style I want to emulate and make more professionally everything is original the story and the music along with a gritty moody colour grade which I want to do more professionally and polished with this production 

I want to use this film as a platform to help show people they are not alone in the world and help them feel they can achieve there dream and not worrying what others think thank you for supporting me and hope you have an amazing day
