Street Pastors is an initiative of Ascension Trust and pioneered in London in 2003. There are now over 11,000 street pastors in 270 locations around the UK. Jesmond Street Pastors engage with people on the streets to care for them, listen to them and help them, working with other partners in the night-time economy to make communities safer. We currently patrol on Friday evenings from 1930-midnight

You may have Street Pastors in your home towns and some of you may have met teams in Newcastle, Sunderland, Whitley Bay and Tynemouth.
Jesmond Street Pastors are Christian Volunteers from local churches who, most Friday nights from 7.30 to midnight and sometimes on Saturdays, patrol Osborne Road and surrounding streets caring for vulnerable people.
We are there to help you; we care for our community and are sure you will too.
