We're still collecting donations
On the 17th January 2022 we'd raised £200 with 6 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We're raising funds for eight new bird boxes to install in Islington Forest for Change, a new green space in the heart of the borough.

At the heart of Islington Forest for Change in an unloved green space which we are regenerating into a thriving community space. A place for children to play, people to unwind and wildlife to thrive
Outdoor learning
Outdoor classrooms will be created, giving children and local schools space to escape, play and learn about the natural world and our climate. Forest schools are an opportunity to explore continue curriculum learning in new ways.
Wildlife
It is a space for wildlife to thrive in natural habitats. We will build a pond to attract frogs and other pond life. Eight new bird boxes will be installed to attract swifts, starlings, great tit, blue tits.
Seven layers of woodland
We will reinstate the seven natural layers found in a woodland through planting and redesigning the space. This will increase bio-diversity and make it an interesting place to relax and unwind.
Residents and volunteers
Local residents can get involved in tree and hedge planting, bulb planting, hedge laying, caring for trees, building ponds and nurturing the woodland space. There will be regular volunteer days throughout the year.
