- Isla has been bravely battling Anorexia for nearly 3 years following bullying when she started high school.
She has been hospitalised twice and spent this summer in a residential centre to help her recover.
There is still a way to go and her illness is intertwined with OCD, Emetophobia, Anxiety.
This is an horrendous illness which affects all who know and love Isla. We are all doing everything we can to support our kind, clever, beautiful girl to achieve her goal of being well enough to spend 4 weeks volunteering in Kenya with Camps International.
She is incredibly determined and has come so far already and hopes that the added motivation of needing to be strong and healthy to be involved in the amazing projects in Kenya will carry her recovery forward and increase her confidence in her ability to overcome her difficulties.
She will spend a week on animal conservation, a week with women and children projects, a week on community building and will also have the opportunity to go on safari and trek up a mountain.
This is an amazing opportunity for her to give back to others whilst also helping herself.
She is fundraising locally looking after dogs, selling at various boot sales and coffee mornings, making crafts and art to sell at Christmas fairs and so on.
Please help her to achieve her goal.
