Iris says "I started dancing with Flamingo Chicks when I was three, and they provided a great opportunity to dance, and to get to know other children with disabilities.
More recently, I have been part of their Agents of Change youth advocacy group, meeting with other young people and an exciting range of guest speakers online every month.
I've helped to fundraise for Flamingo chicks, including a sponsored walk across the Clifton Suspension Bridge and around Ashton Gate football pitch. With Agents of Change, I visited the set of ITV's Good Morning Britain, meeting presenters and producers to help them understand the needs of young disabled people they might interview and share our ideas."
Astrid says "Flamingo Chicks has really helped build Iris's confidence and has helped me bond with other people with disabilities and their siblings"
This year we are going to Disneyland Paris to perform on stage for International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. We'll also be introducing staff at Disneyland and British Airways to inclusive techniques like Makaton to pave the way for other disabled visitors.
Thank you for supporting Flamingo Chicks with the Disneyland Paris adventure and their continuing great work with disabled children in Bristol and across the UK.
