We want everyone to hear the Green message this election. We are raising money to help with candidate deposits and publicity.

Who are we?

We are Ipswich Green Party - your local voice for a greener, fairer town, and we have a big challenge to get that message out this general election.

We have an excellent local candidate - Adria Pittock - who is committed to putting across a positive alternative to the tired politics of the main parties.

Why do we need to raise money?

We all want to see a change of government, and a change of MP. But we've seen both main parties watering down their climate pledges. We know that the only way that we will see real change is by giving a strong message that voters want to see positive change - and that means that we have to ensure we get the Green voice out there.

We need a £500 deposit so that Adria can stand as your Green candidate for Ipswich. We also want to deliver a leaflet to every home in Ipswich so they see our message of Real Hope, Real Change at a cost of £850.

The Green Party aims to stand a candidate in every constituency at this election. This will give everyone a chance to vote Green and will increase our national vote share. Not many people know that parties get funds from central government according to the number of votes they receive. This is of particular importance for the Green Party because we do not take funding from corporate donors - unlike other parties.

Can you help us to raise £500 by July 4th and ensure we have a high profile Green campaign in Ipswich?

Who is Adria?

Adria Pittock is standing to become your MP. She has lived and worked in Ipswich for over 20 years and championed many green and equality issues. Adria helped bring Suffolk Pride back to the town, has campaigned for decent wages for care workers, worked to save our local services and  been involved in schemes to protect and improve Ipswich’s green spaces.

As your Ipswich MP, Adria will work to increase investment in the town’s businesses and community organisations, reduce congestion, improve air quality, and deliver affordable and energy efficient homes.

Adria will bring a positive voice to hustings, showing that there is an alternative to the negativity of the main parties.

What are Ipswich Greens doing?

We have a Conservative MP that is an embarrassment to our town, and a Labour council that appears to have lost interest in it. We believe that a better alternative is available - a healthier, fairer, greener and happier town. We know that this is possible because we've seen councils across Ipswich turning Green. Ipswich should not be left behind.

We are working hard to put a Green voice onto Ipswich council - in the elections in May we saw our best ever results, including a second place in Alexandra ward. This is an excellent base for winning in 2025. We will be working to achieve that, but delivering change requires resources. Your donation to support our general election campaign will mean that we can go into the 2025 campaign ready to win. If we win enough votes to keep our deposit, this money will go back to your local party to help us run a strong campaign for change next year.

Can you help us to raise £500 by July 4th? Please donate whatever you can to help. Thank you!

P.S. Because we're a political party...

We're required to run electoral register checks from people making donations above £500, and if you donate over £1,500 during a year, we are required to let the Electoral Commission know, who will make this available on their website. All donations go to general Green Party funds.
