Aim: Please help an 83 year old pensioner complete self-designed and scratch built classic car
Title : Project 3 - a Scratch built classic car that needs completing
I am a self-taught 83 year old engineer, who has developed skills in retirement and I have built 3 cars – Project 1 The Salamander classic trials car, Project 2 (the red car in the photos) The Lightweight Triumph GT6 speed hill climb car, (the blue car in the photo) all with hand formed bodies built by me.
Each project was more complex and comprehensive than the previous one. The current Project 3 is definitely the most challenging. The artist's impression below is a computer generated render based on the body frame and the finished car will look almost identical to the photograph. I’m now into my sixth year on the current build and mechanically it is finished. The engine runs and it drives.
My build diary can be found from this link

The design has been likened to a mini Aston Martin. The attached video shows the progress I have made to date with virtually all the bodywork complete. However, forming the bonnet and making the hinged front end is physically beyond me and I need the help of a coach builder to complete the job. Unfortunately, being an old age pensioner on limited income, funding the specialist work and of course painting and trimming is where I am hoping you might be able to help me. I'm well aware that time is not on my side so I need to move quickly to get it finished before I peg out. This project has become all absorbing and I hope you can understand my passion to get it finished and on the road as soon as possible. Your help would be very gratefully appreciated, no matter how small the amount.
Thank you so much
John
