Why Inter Care needs YOU

Inter Care sends surplus medical aid to around 100 clinics in Africa, which provides vital medical care to some of Africas most disadvantaged people. We rely on the generosity of donors such as individuals and grant making trusts to be able to continue our work. With your support, we can continue to provide medical aid to people who would otherwise not have access to medical treatment.

The One Wish Project

You have the opportunity to give the BIGGEST GIFT of all to health units in sub-Saharan Africa.

You can do this by supporting the "One Wish Project".

This is designed to support partner health units with medical equipment and other resources to meet their individual needs.

Why Support the One Wish Project

All of the health units we support have an appalling lack of resources, but each has its own unique needs.

This means that frontline healthcare staff often cannot diagnose, treat and ultimately save the lives of their patients due to a lack of resources. For example, a maternity ward may have just two beds and a bucket of water.

Mothers often have to deliver their babies on the floor. An additional labour bed could save the life of an unborn child.

For every £1,000 raised, one health unit across Sierra Leone, Ghana, Zambia, Malawi and Tanzania will be given the opportunity to make a wish and request medical equipment and other medical resources. The more you raise, the more wishes can be granted.

What we aim to do with your support

Inter Care already supports health units across sub-Saharan Africa with regular supplies of medicines and healthcare goods. This project is different, as we aim to supply each health unit with an additional one-off piece of medical equipment or other resources which would transform patient care in a significant way.
