Dear friends, foes, distant cousins, art patrons(esses) and mécènes.
It has now been a year since the birth of « Indépendantes de coeur » my eponymous label launched with a first campaign « A Secret Garden »
Since then, some of the garments were featured in press publications such as Zurnal Zine, Numero Berlin, Document Journal, British GQ, Crawler, Gloom and others.
Some dresses have continued with a life of their own when worn by eternal muses such as Celeste, Griff, Kida Skyblue, Rebekah Bide and hopefully, one day, all you who are reading this.
You, bearer of utopian hopes, I’m calling up on your boundless generosity in the aim of raising money to finance the first « Indépendantes De Coeur » physical fashion show. More than just an ephemeral experience, I visualise it as evolving into a surreal theatrical experience, a romance of chimera and extravagant beings. IDC has grown into so much more than a collection for me, a campaign felt unworthy of the calibre and magic of the women I dress. To thank you all for enabling me to believe in the project, and to honour my lifelong dream of taking the collection to the next level: the performance.
Unfortunately, there are costs that I an unable to cover. As cosy as it is, working from my bedroom does not match the production scale I have in mind. Every penny from my shifts working at the pub go towards sourcing the fabrics I wish to wrap you all in. I would need a small army to enable the extravagance I have in mind. Which is where you all come in: would you like to be my army?
The money I am hoping to gather would cover a small studio, (with big dreams!) a functioning sewing machine, fabrics and to pay the people who would be involved in this next chapter. (MUA, models, stylists, actor, videographers, venue, post production…)
Each generous sum will permit an entrance on the day of the show. At the closing of the cagnotte, four people will be selected to win a prize.
