New stretch target
We have set a minimum target of £1000 but ideally we want to reach £5000 to cover 50% of the £10,000 shortfall. Ultimately, any shortfall will come out of our funds which we use for the day-to-day running of our organisation.
To raise funds to cover the remaining costs (after grants) associated with the external refurbishment of The Indian Association Building.

We have set a minimum target of £1000 but ideally we want to reach £5000 to cover 50% of the £10,000 shortfall. Ultimately, any shortfall will come out of our funds which we use for the day-to-day running of our organisation.
A detailed survey was carried out by by Herd Property Limited in May 2023 on the external condition of our Indian Association's building. The report outlined several remediation works requiring action to make the building safe for the future. The estimated cost is nearly £80,000. The Management Committee have raised just over £60,000 through several grants plus a further £10,000 contribution through our own funds. This leaves a shortfall about £10,000.
Work is well underway with several elements completed such as the flat roof windows and lots of the specialist stone work on the roof.
We want to raise as much of the £10,000 shortfall through kind donations from our members and the wider community.
Please donate as much as you can, every and any amount helps towards keeping our building safe for the future.
