To help raise vital funds to give Alfred Guenigault the best send off we possibly can

by David Wood BCAv in Poole, England, United Kingdom

I had the personal privilege of meeting Alfred Guenigault when both himself, his daughter and son in law found themselves living in a hostel after they had been served with a no fault eviction.

After several months of writing to MPs and VIPs the family were finally housed just before Christmas 2023.

On Saturday the 4th of May 2024 Alfred sadly passed away at 11am after reaching the grand age of 99yrs old only on the 1st of May.

I am therefore asking for donations to give Alfred the best funeral that he deserves. I have the full blessing of the family and this is the only donation page that is set up for help.

Alfred was one of the first Allied soldiers to set foot in Normandy on June 6, 1944, serving bravely as in the Airborne Division. He landed at Pegasus Bridge (then known as Bénouville Bridge) at 12:30 am, part of a daring glider assault that secured a crucial river crossing for the invasion of France. During the landings, Alfred was shot and wounded by a German sniper while protecting French civilians, showcasing his selfless courage.

Now let's give this hero the best send off we possibly can that he thoroughly deserves. Thankyou 1715008711_fb_img_1714848606727.jpg
